Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you describe yourself as an ethical company?

We are a non-profit Community Interest Company. Although our partners choose the garments that we print for them, the vast majority is made from organic cotton. We partner with No Sweat who source their garments from unionised factories, while using the profits to fund the fight against sweatshops. We operate a unique profit share model and never take make more money than our partners from their products. We pay all our staff a minimum of £20 an hour to ensure that they can afford to live, not just survive.

Where do you find your partners? Can anyone become a partner of Tee Cell?

We generally find our partners organically, either from previous clients, or through recommendations of our existing partners. Unfortunately, as we only have the capacity to fulfil a limited amount of orders per day, we cannot accept all applications to join us. However, if you feel that your artwork or project would be something that would interest us, please don’t hesitate to contact us

Why is it not possible to combine orders from multiple partners?

All products are sold by our partners directly it is not possible to the combine shopping carts of multiple partners. However, we offer free postage if we receive orders to the same delivery address before your initial order has been dispatched. Please be aware that this may delay the dispatch of your initial order.

What is the quality and size of the garments?

We select our range of garments from trusted suppliers and only use high quality products. We prioritise the use of organic cotton whenever possible. The specifications are linked in the item description of each product as well as in the Product Spec Sheets.

What printing techniques are used?

We employ a variety of printing techniques to optimise print quality including digital printing – DTG (Direct to Garment) and DTF (Direct to Film) as well as traditional screen printing and screen printed transfers.

How should I wash my shirt?

Turn garments inside out to preserve the integrity of the design. Do not wash above 40°C and use laundry detergent without bleach. Do not iron the design. Wash colours separately from whites, especially on the first wash. Over time, you may experience slight fading on the graphic as your shirt naturally weathers with repeated washings.

How much is delivery?

For simplicity we are currently a flat postage and packing charge of £4 per order. We send using Royal Mail Tracked services.

I just placed an order, how long until it ships?

We aim to ship within 5-7 working days after purchase but please allow us 10 days as we have limited resources. We will notify you if there are delays and we are unable to ship within this time frame.

Do you ship to outside the UK?

Until we’re confident that orders will arrive safely and without additional custom charges we are not currently sending orders abroad.
